In order to achieve the goal of Kalmunaians Forum “self-sufficiency in the basic needs of the people of Kalmunai Region”, number projects are being carried out by the forum.
In that regard, new water connections have recently been handed over to 15 beneficiary families. With the aim of bringing drinking water connection to all families in Kalmunai region, the project was initiated by the Kalmunaians Forum in 2017. Around 135 beneficiary families have been provided water connection so far under this project.
It is to be noted that the beneficiary families have been shortlisted and selected from the data collection for Kalmunai conducted by the Kalmunaians Forum in 2016.
